What was bought initially as a wrong ticket blossomed into a wonderful holiday. Instead of wasting our ticket back to KL, we decided to scour the Air Asia site for cheap ticket to some destination. Lo and behold, we found Cambodia. So we’re flying there in the afternoon.
Through these few years of traveling, I have discovered that we have become more relaxed in our holiday styles. In the past, I used to research extensively about the place we were going to. Sometimes I would have multiple folders about the destination. It was all about seeing all and doing all. No doubt it was beneficial to an extent but the value of being on vacation was being eroded without me knowing.
These days we are so relaxed that the only thing we find out before hand is if there is a visa requirement and where we are going to stay. Occasionally I would pull out a portion of google map and scour the streets just to make sure I am familiar with it. It may not be for everyone, but we certainly made it work for us.
